Data retention.
Last updated: 10 October 2026.
Account records
Your account security record, saved searches, watch settings, groups and alerts are kept while your account is active and removed when you delete your CyberShield data in account settings.
Reports and evidence
Reports and private evidence are kept while needed for moderation and for the published intelligence they support. Deleting your account data removes your reports and queues deletion of their evidence. Moderation decisions are kept as an accountability record.
Searches
Basic searches are not saved. Aggregate search statistics contain no query, IP address, account or device identifier. Saved enhanced search history is opt-in and can be deleted at any time.
Public link checks
Public link checks are not attached to an account, so account deletion cannot identify or remove them.
Security and audit records
Sign-in, security and administrative audit records are kept to protect accounts and to keep moderation accountable.
Server logs
Our web server logs record only the request time, status and duration. They do not record IP addresses, page addresses, search terms or form contents. Application logs are rotated automatically and kept only briefly.
Backups
Encrypted database backups are kept for seven days and then deleted automatically.
Sign-in identity
Your sign-in identity is held by our authentication provider. Deleting your CyberShield data does not remove it; contact support@cybershieldja.com to request removal.
