Frequently asked questions.
Practical guidance for Search Before You Pay, reporting and understanding warnings.
Some features remain unavailable.
What can I search?
Search phone or WhatsApp numbers, social accounts, websites, email addresses, merchant names and payment identifiers. Choose the correct social platform when checking a handle. A similar name or handle can refer to a different account.
Does No Known Reports mean it is safe to pay?
No. It means the search found no known published reports for the information checked. New threats, incomplete information or a different identifier can affect the result. Verify the seller and payment request independently before paying.
What do the other result labels mean?
Reports Found means reviewed allegations are available. A connection between indicators is not proof of wrongdoing. Elevated Concern reflects multiple independently reviewed sources. Verified Malicious Indicator requires a separate process in which two distinct reviewers attest supporting evidence and the indicator match. Report volume alone cannot create that finding. These are intelligence labels, not legal findings.
Is reporting free, and do I need an account?
Reporting and submitting evidence are free. You can report with a verified account or as a guest without an account; guest submissions pass an automated anti-abuse check. Do not include passwords, one-time codes, PINs or full card details in your report.
Will my report or screenshots appear in public search?
Raw narratives, reporter identities and private evidence images are not published in public search. Moderators review reports before limited public information is published. Uploading a screenshot as report evidence is different from automated screenshot analysis: OCR and screenshot analysis are currently unavailable.
Can payment change a warning or remove a report?
No. Payment cannot change risk scores, buy verification, suppress free warnings or remove negative findings. Paid plans are not available yet. Future paid features must remain separate from moderation and evidence decisions.
Does CyberShield Watch send email or text alerts?
Watch uses in-app alerts for eligible accounts. External email, SMS and push alert delivery are not active. A plan preview or interest registration does not activate a paid subscription or guarantee a launch notification.
Is CyberShield JA a native mobile app?
CyberShield JA is a mobile-friendly web application with PWA support. A native Android or iOS release is not currently offered.
What should I do if money or an account is at risk?
Contact your financial institution or the affected provider through its official app or an independently verified channel. Do not use contact details supplied only in a suspicious message. CyberShield JA provides general guidance and cannot guarantee recovery or an emergency response.
How can I challenge inaccurate published information?
Sign in with a verified account and use the published report reference to submit a private response for moderation. Submitting a response does not itself remove a report or change a risk result. The process is free and does not guarantee a particular outcome.
