Key takeaways
- Search exact identifiers and read limitations.
- Moderation and malicious verification are distinct.
- Free private reports do not automatically become public allegations.
Start with an identifier you can check
CyberShield JA is built around Search Before You Pay: check available intelligence before committing money or sensitive information. Start with a phone or WhatsApp number, social account, website, email, merchant name or supported payment identifier. Use the exact details from the request. For a social handle, choose the correct platform because similar names can refer to unrelated accounts. A search is about the identifier you submit, not a background check on every person using a similar name. Do not submit private access tokens or passwords as if they were search terms.
Read the result before making a decision
No Known Reports means the check found no known published reports for the information searched. It does not prove that a seller, account, number or site is safe. New threats, missing reports or a different identifier can affect what appears. Reports Found means reviewed allegations are available. Read the match, available dates and limitations rather than relying only on a prominent label. A date attached to a report is not necessarily the date all intelligence was last reviewed. A search result does not establish that a person currently owns or controls the identifier.

Understand why stronger labels are separate
Elevated Concern reflects multiple independently reviewed sources. Verified Malicious Indicator requires a separate process with two distinct reviewers attesting supporting evidence and the indicator match. Report volume alone cannot create that finding. These are intelligence labels, not legal judgments about a person or business. Related indicators reflect connections within reviewed reports; they do not automatically establish common ownership. Treat a result as information to evaluate in context. No payment can buy verification, remove negative findings or change the moderation and risk decisions that determine what is shown.
Contribute privately through the report flow
Reporting and evidence submission are free. Use a verified account; guest submission is currently unavailable. Explain what happened accurately and include relevant identifiers and evidence without passwords, one-time codes, PINs or full card details. Raw narratives, reporter identities and evidence images remain private for authorised review, while public search uses limited moderated projections. Submitting a report does not automatically publish an accusation. A screenshot uploaded as report evidence is separate from automated screenshot analysis; OCR and automated screenshot analysis remain unavailable. Keep an original evidence copy privately rather than relying on a website as your only archive.
Know which check you are using
The message-checking flow uses local rules and moderated public-intelligence matching, not external AI or URL reputation lookups. The separate link checker depends on an available configured provider; an unavailable result is not a clean result. CyberShield Watch uses in-app alerts for eligible accounts, and external email, SMS and push alert delivery are not active. A plan preview or expression of interest does not activate a subscription. The product is a mobile-friendly web application with PWA support, not an announced native mobile release. Read each feature's limits instead of assuming one check performs them all.
Use the information for a practical next step
Before paying, verify the request through a channel you independently trust and pause if details do not fit. If you already sent money, contact the relevant financial institution promptly and preserve transaction evidence. If an account was exposed, use the affected provider's security controls. Consider appropriate official reporting separately: a CyberShield community report does not replace it or guarantee recovery. If published information is inaccurate, the report-response flow accepts private responses from verified account holders using a published reference; submission does not itself change a finding. Search again when you have a different relevant identifier, without treating repeated clean checks as certainty.
Warning signs
- A request to treat no match as a safety certificate.
- An offer to buy removal or verification.
- Claims that unavailable guest/OCR/external-delivery features are active.
What to do next
- Use Search with the exact identifier and platform.
- Verify the payment request independently before committing.
- Report additional facts privately with a verified account.
Education is not a finding about a person or business. Reports are allegations; no match does not mean safe. A CyberShield report does not replace an appropriate official report.
